How to Set Yourself Up for Record-Breaking Cold Traffic Webinars

What does it take to launch a really successful cold traffic webinar? We’ve got answers for you today. Our client, Shanda Sumpter, set the record for the highest performing webinar we’ve ever launched straight to cold traffic. I got together with her to discuss the process of launching a webinar to cold traffic, the idea of tying a core message to your webinar, and the pressing importance of financial self-reliance. As the founder of the multi-million dollar company, Heartcore Business, Shanda is a fantastic example of what it takes to succeed online.

How much effort does it actually take?

While Shanda was good at webinars, she knew she was leaving a lot of money on the table. Shanda called us and we got started taking her webinars to the next level. How long did it take? Shanda spent 50 hours working on the thinking process and strategy behind the webinar.

The reality is, people don’t understand how much work goes into a successful webinar. It takes us about 40 hours to create a webinar from scratch. When you’re going for a high-performing webinar that brings in multiple seven figures, you have to invest the time.

What am I missing?

Shanda quickly realized how many steps she had missed when teaching previous webinars. As a visionary, that was just how she functioned. When we went through each step of what she would teach in the webinar, we really drilled down into what the audience would learn. Shanda ended up taking this lesson to slow down her teaching in everything from  webinars to coaching.

Drilling down on the details helped Shanda create a webinar that actually taught her audience something tangible. Even though she thought she was specific before, she found she was missing steps her audience needed.

As the instructor, you’re too close to your own product. When you’ve taught this one subject a lot of times, it becomes a historic version of what you think your audience wants. You have to break it down step-by-step to really connect with your audience and that’s when you’ll crush it.

Why am I doing this?

Shanda believes that people need to be responsible for being financially independent. It’s irresponsible to have bad cash flow. You can’t blame it on your situation or the people around you. What you can do is build a powerful webinar that converts.

Being self-reliant is critical because you can’t predict the future. In 2020, an estimated 5 million jobs are going to be replaced by technology. That is going to have a huge impact on homes around the world. If you don’t plan for self-reliance, it will be devastating to your life. What if your referral business disappeared? You have to get responsible with your money. Now is a good time to get started with this and take care of yourself.

What do I do next?

Once you have a high-performing webinar, the next step is sending more and more traffic there. Shanda ran a 5-day challenge into her webinar and the results were incredible. With the launch of your webinar, you can keep making tweaks and changes that can end up adding a lot to your bottom line.

In fact, Shanda’s found that her webinar has the potential to outperform her infomercial. She’s gone from focusing on a $97 product for TV to a $997 product online. With all the testing that’s involved in a $250,000 infomercial, if you don’t have deep pockets, it’s not the game for you. This is just one reason why webinars are such a fantastic business strategy. While you do have to invest your time, you don’t have to drop as much as you would for a commercial.

For those of you who are working on your own webinars, you have to understand that this takes time. This is an opportunity to take your business to multiple seven figures a year, but you have to be willing to put the work in to get there. It was a blast connecting with Shanda again and I hope you’ve taken away something from our record-breaking client!
